If we had to choose just one social media platform, we’d pick Instagram without even blinking. Whether we’re looking for creative inspiration, a good laugh, a photographer or where to grab lunch, we turn to the ‘gram. Clearly, Instagram is a great way to show off your business with pretty photos and clever captions.
There are plenty of profiles in Buffalo using Instagram to its fullest potential. We’re featuring just some of our favorites. These community-oriented accounts hit us a little differently than most, with captivating photos, striking grids and captions we actually want to read.

@stepoutbuffalo: Step Out Buffalo is everything Buffalo you could ever want in your feed, from hilarious Buffalo-themed memes and local business features to Bills Mafia footage and Buffalo dogs (all the heart eyes). We love the way Step Out highlights our city’s unique culture, promotes local businesses and showcases all the Queen City has to offer.
@mundycakes: Mundy Cakes’ Instagram feed is truly one-of-a-kind. Expect to get a good laugh out of her spunky cookie designs made for every occasion. Mundy Cakes’ grid also features high-quality photos of yummy desserts that match the brand’s cool style. And our favorite part about her Instagram: video after video of mesmerizing piping on her Stories.
@macysplacepizzeria: Macy’s Place Pizzeria is doing Instagram right, advertising their outlandish pizzas, “logs” and wings in the most Buffalo way possible. If you follow them, you’ll see everything from an A+ cheese pull to a pug wearing pizza underwear. You’re also going to want to check out the hashtags; they’re truly amazing.

@lloydtacofactory: Lloyd has one of our favorite Instagram feeds, as well as some of our favorite tacos. Lloyd has risen to Buffalo fame with a loud social media presence that complements its distinct brand. The restaurants’ profile features Lloyd tacos and cocktails in their finest light, the official burrito of the Buffalo Bills and more hilarious branded taco content.
@shirtfactorymedina: The Shirt Factory, located in Medina, features its adorable coffee and craft cocktail bar on Instagram with stunning photos. We love the way their grid is styled with distinct photos and editing that separate their posts from others in our Instagram feed. The Shirt Factory’s Instagram is always spotlighting employees, upcoming events and creative cocktails.
@katharineephillips: Katherinee Phillips is a Buffalo blogger with a creative side that we can appreciate at Parkway Digital. Her carefully-crafted, color-themed feed features wedding and event design, branding work, entrepreneurial reflections, Buffalo living and long, eloquent captions. Her feed is truly beautiful, inspirational and expressive.

@craftbeerdeer: Photography, travel and craft beer make up this stunning Instagram grid. If you don’t already know, the Parkway Digital team loves a good craft beer, especially when the branding is spot-on. Julie of @craftbeerdeer photographs for some of our favorite local breweries, bringing their flavorful craft brews to life.
@buffalohomes: This local real estate photographer is showcasing the gorgeous exteriors of homes throughout downtown Buffalo. Her hashtag game is on-point and brings thousands of followers to her intriguing profile. If we had to guess, her real estate photography business is getting lots of DMs.
@beckiandchris: This Buffalo-based (cool) couple account shares the wild adventures of a radiologist and a photographer. This sounds like the perfect Instagram pair to us; there are helicopter journeys and incredible visuals to prove it. We’re obsessed with their extraordinary photos, as well as their grid’s coordinated foggy grays, greens and browns.

@publicespresso: The Buffalo cafes’ Instagram feed is enthralling, with colorful doughnuts, latte art and upscale breakfast sandwiches. We love their crisp, clean photos and clever captions.
@_adam_brady: For captivating landscape, nature and adventure pictures, follow this Buffalo photographer. Visit his profile and you’ll find yourself scrolling through the distinct colors of each season. We also love that he incorporates a travel element into his profile.
@wemustdash: We Must Dash is a group travel agency that started as a couple’s travel blog. You can expect to see photos of all different countries, landscapes, travel groups and We Must Dash merchandise. We love their colorful travel profile, sprinkled with rows designated to single landscape photos.
@purefreshbeauty: Pure Fresh Beauty, a Tony Walker & Co brand, uses its Instagram profile to showcase its natural beauty products. Using a pastel color palette, the brand has created a clean, cohesive grid that makes you want to bathe in their detoxing cleansers and beauty oils.

@reilleyphotography: Maybe we’re a little biased (Caitlin and Jenna, the duo behind Reilley Photography, are Chris’s sisters), but we think this Buffalo photographer and videographer have a unique talent for capturing special moments. Reilley Photography’s editing style stands out from the dozens of photographers in Western New York. We love the way each photo complements the others in its row, with similar color patterns, themes, staging, scenery or props.
@westendinteriors: This full-service interior design firm in Buffalo specializes in a modern and timeless aesthetic that translates beautifully to its Instagram grid. @kikothecorgi: We can’t find a reason not to follow Buffalo’s favorite furry friend, Kiko (our office may have a minor obsession with dogs, but still).
