March means one thing in the Buffalo advertising community: it’s time for our AAF chapter’s American Advertising Awards! The last time we attended the awards in person was in 2020, right before COVID impacted everyday life in Western New York. It felt great to mingle with other agencies again, two years later.
Parkway took home three silver awards, which is also reason to celebrate! Of course, the awards aren’t everything. We have incredible clients and are proud of the measurable results we achieve for them year-round. But it sure does feel nice to have the work we did last year recognized alongside some truly amazing projects from our peers here in Buffalo.
Martin House
Online/Interactive: Silver Award for Websites – Consumer
Elements of Advertising: Silver Award for Digital Creative Technology – User Experience
The Martin House’s updated website was one of our favorite projects of 2021. The gorgeous Parkside campus is filled with Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic architectural elements, from art glass windows to meticulous wood trim. Parkway was tasked with incorporating these elements into the estate’s digital presence. The website also needed to be user-friendly to serve the needs of visitors of all ages from around the world.
We accomplished these must-haves with custom icons, original imagery and bold, on-brand fonts. The website serves as a central hub, with ticket sales, virtual tours and more all easily accessible to users. Not only did the Martin House website win for its overall look and feel, but we love that the judges recognized its improved user experience too!
Parkway Digital
Advertising Industry Self-Promotion: Silver Award for an Integrated Media Campaign
Drawing from close to a decade of work in a rapidly changing environment, Parkway Digital pivoted our approach to emphasize the power of connections, both internal and external, in 2021. Our new visual identity and messaging, launched in tandem with our new home, highlight our dedication to cultivating collaborative relationships in Buffalo and beyond.
A refreshed website, updated Instagram strategy and improved menu of services present a cohesive brand focused on lasting partnerships and customized solutions. These items are complemented by physical manifestations of the new brand, including eye-catching signage and on-brand apparel. Together, the campaign elements that launched Parkway Digital’s updated identity are minimalistic yet effective. We’re thrilled the judges agreed!
